VIRTUAL
a powerful processing concept in DNAOS environments that applies to

  • virtual profiles and application resources and that allows them to be made available as a secured whole, even if in reality they exist distributed in various formats, databases, and locations
  • interactive multimedia contents, as in virtual worlds and virtual reality
  • server abstration and management in a distributed server farm environment; for example, mainframes can be used to virtualize application servers.

VARIABLE
a temporary memory or parameter information typically used in programs, stylesheets, and queries.
