CALENDAR
a two level Schedule.
CAPABILITY
(Schedulable)
resource
attribute describing its utility, or usefulness, or constraints in affecting other Resources.
CART
a traditional, persisted, on-line, user virtual shopping cart.
CATALOG
each DNAOS web
document and every partner
organization can have a catalog with
products,
services,
bundles,
subscriptions,
specials, and
discounts.
For example, a partner can typically have a main catalog and 3 web sites (documents),
each of which has its own catalog as a different subset of the main catalog,
possibly also with additional exclusive entries. Shopping
carts and
Orders or order forms
can all use catalogs for selection. DNAOS web sites/documents also have a
Jukebox
has an additional catalog for delivering
multimedia content.
DNAOS catalogs and their contents are DNAOS
schedule resources.
CELL
a form organization and formatting structure
resource, corresponding to a table cell in a form
layout.
Cells can be of arbitrary complexity, arranged horizontally or vertically, and associated with
queries for initialization.
COLLABORATION
a
process
allowing different
parties
to work together, collaborate, and share
resources
and processes to achieve a common goal.
COLLABORATIVE
is in support of
collaboration,
or collaboration friendly.
COLLECTION
is the first level DNAOS document
organization data structure. Collections are nested or hierarchical resources and
typed
libraries of documents for DNAOS to load and/or publish, ex:
'content' collections contain documents and
'http'
collections inside 'content' collections contain and define DNAOS published, managed, operated, and maintained web documents,
including
portal, sites, sub-sites, and engines.
COLUMN
a report
organization and formatting structure resource,
corresponding to a report column. Preset columns can be used by multiple reports.
COMPANY
a hierarchical
DNAOS party archetype resource
used to define, represent, and identify
Organizations.
COMPONENTS
in a DNAOS context,
this usually general and useful term is often used more specifically to designate
GUI component
resources, including:
panels,
rows,
cells,
queries.
CONTENT
includes specifically
document contents and more generally all data,
resources,
profiles, and documents
processed by
Applications.
CONTEXT
typically the current and future
DNAOS
IT business, technology, market, financial, and security context and environment.

CONTROL
control applications provide remote control and management of electrical and electronic equipment;
some examples are provided in the
DNAOS Applications
section; as an additional issue, control applications are typically coupled to
monitoring applications so that
equipment can be monitored and controlled, doubling the required number of acquisition/control
channels and data streams. Yet other issues combine and force a further consideration:
distribution and
security, as in web-based distributed
data/content security.
CONSULTING
is a DNAOS project type for managing and
accounting time based work, including
timesheets,
invoicing, tracking,
reporting.
CRUNCH
specialized intensive data processing and computation
tasks, as per
application field.
CSS
cascading style sheets, a mostly web-based look&feel
standard.
