ACCESS
DNAOS access
resources are the main
DNAOS role assignment archetype
resource. Since roles are also basic
entitlement security
components, 'access' resources are the main entitlement, security, and role assignment archetype for DNAOS.
ACCOUNTING DNAOS accounting services are
designed and integrated to support collaboration portal accounting. Operations like sales, hr time management,
invoicing,
metering,
reporting,
and credit card management are supported at the consolidated portal level
as well as for each of the Portal web site
publishing
partner organizations.
ACTIVITY
(Schedulable)
resource transformation of other resource(s),
in relation to its capabilities.
DNAOS activity Resources are compound activity
descriptions;
activities combine a task,
a phase,
and a role.
Effective activities are embedded in DNAOS schedule resources.
ADDRESS
a DNAOS nested resource to store detailed addresses;
address/person/organization
information, for identification, reference, notification, email,
subscriptions and
membership;
addresses are also often used with DNAOS
sendmail resources
as these define emailing operations and can be used to
query addresses.
AGGREGATION Process of
associating resources, by
composition, with built-in
links, or through
relations and associations.
APPLICATION
the process of applying a pattern;
computing applications (i.e. programs, code) use general patterns like networks, systems, software, and data
to apply dedicated purpose patterns like word processing or vehicle fleet management, for example.
Computing applications are often grouped based on 4 basic
architecture models.
APPLICATION RESOURCES Information Resources used and processed by
(IT) application, typically as program variables, or content.
ARCHETYPE
the basic Business and infrastructure
application resource types. The main
DNAOS business
application
resource archetypes (and color codes) include:
-
time or period based business events
and schedules (action red/pink)
- role assignments (entitlement yellow)
-
all things, including:
activities,
components,
products,
assets (thing green)
-
all parties, including:
persons,
companies,
organizations (party green)
- descriptions for everything, including:
roles,
rates,
tasks,
phases (description blue)
- system and
utility components and
resources, including:
messages,
GUI,
datasources,
system (utility transparent).
ARCHITECTURE
Architecture is defined by views of
resource
models of a reality. Architecture is applied to many domains including: Business,
Applications,
Infrastructure, IT, Building. Basic IT infrastructure architecture types include:
single station, client-server, distributed, SOA
SOA, Grid, Cloud, SaaS, for example,
each typically increasing progressively the number of users and the collaboration potential.
See also Business Architecture.
ASSET
what organizations have: stocks, inventory, asset resources.
ASSIGN DNAOS assignments are stored in
'access' resources.
Typically, in the DNAOS environment, assignment and access are almost synonymous
as access resources store assignments of a
role to a
resource (from), for another
resource (to), for a
period (schedule).
ASSOCIATION
a relation's
Entitlement, typically with
From and
To links to the associated Subject and Object
resources, respectively.
AUTHENTICATION
a security validation stage used to verify
and confirm users identity authenticity. See also
Encryption Authorization Entitlement.
AUTHORIZATION
a security stage where authenticated user identity
is used by systems to locate or gather corresponding
user profiles to pass to
applications to use for access control
security for operations and functionality. See also
Encryption Authentication Entitlement.
ATOM DNAOS
news feeds and blogs are available in
RSS
and powered by ATOM.
AUTO-LAYOUT
an important
modeling operation, available to
DNAOS rich graphical
SOA client
applications and
users,
to automatically and selectively layout application
resources,
virtual profiles, and business
processes see also
Rotate and
Zoom.
